Great news!
Our Spring G-League uniforms have arrived and will be distributed tomorrow, 4/27. Please make sure to collect your uniform at the merch area upstairs before your game. Please be extra conscious and dispose of the plastic bag the uniform comes in. Uniform distribution day tends to be a very busy time with lots of the plastic bags strewn about the gym. We appreciate your effort to help us keep Griffin Elite nice and tidy!

Ohio G-League Update – Week 3 Schedule & Game Info

Hi G-League Families,
We’re excited to kick off Week 3 of our Ohio G-League program at Spooky Nook, and we appreciate the energy and effort you’ve all brought so far!
A few important schedule updates to note:

While our regular schedule is Tuesday & Friday, please note that for the next two weeks, our Friday scrimmages will move to Thursday nights.
-
This week’s adjustment is due to Good Friday, and next week’s change is because of a major event at Spooky Nook.
-
Regular season games will officially begin on Friday, May 2nd.
The game schedule will be published soon in your app, so please keep an eye out for those updates.
Thanks for your flexibility as we gear up for a great season. As always, let us know if you have any questions.

We have a revision to our 7U wristband rules. All 7U players wear wristbands in every game, but the colors are now by skill level and should be paired accordingly with their opponent.
White: Advanced
Black : Experienced
Blue: Intermediate
Yellow: Beginner 2
Red: Beginner 1

Hi Hustle Families,
Just a quick reminder that tonight is G-League Scrimmage Night at Spooky Nook! This will be a fun and competitive night where players get to compete in a variety of game-style formats — including 1v1s, 3v3s, and some 5v5 matchups — all within their regular practice hour.
We’ll be running things with high energy and giving the kids a chance to learn, compete, and have fun. We’ll also be recognizing standout performances with a few small awards and medals!

Week 2 Updates + Opportunity for Ohio Teams to Compete in Kentucky

Hi Hustle G-League Families,
We’re excited to kick off Week 2 of our Hustle G-League season tonight! This week, we’ll continue building skills through focused training and practice tonight, followed by competitive scrimmaging this Friday.
What to Expect This Week
Our goal for these first few weeks is to create a great balance of development and competition.
Our trainers and coaches are ready for another great hour of workouts tonight! This Friday’s scrimmage night will include:

1v1 and 3v3 matchups to encourage spacing, movement, and decision-making
-
5v5 gameplay in the final third of the session for full-court team experience
-
Prizes and recognition for standout performers and winners to keep things fun and competitive!
Looking Ahead: Ohio Teams Competing in Kentucky?
One of the topics we’d like to continue to discuss with you tonight is the potential opportunity for our Ohio-based teams to compete in Kentucky against some of our Kentucky Hustle teams.
Why consider this?
There are more teams in Kentucky, which would provide our Ohio players with a broader mix of opponents and new challenges—ultimately raising the level of play.
Key details:

This would be in addition to our training and scrimmaging in Ohio
-
Games would be held on Saturdays in Erlanger, KY (not far from Spooky Nook)
-
No admission fees for Ohio families traveling to KY
-
We’d need almost full team participation in order to make it work for scheduling
-
If a team chooses not to participate, we’ll still run competitive games in Ohio with occasional cross-state matchups

Hustle Came to Play! 💥

Hi Hustle Nation,
What a weekend! We showed up big time at the Ohio Basketball Bearcat Classic, with 13 teams hitting the floor and every single one competing hard and proving they belong. The number of messages and inquiries we’ve received about our program since then has been incredible — a true testament to our players, coaches, and the culture we’re building together.
We want to give a special shoutout to a few teams that brought home the hardware:
🏆 9th Grade Hustle Elite – Champions
🏆 10th Grade Hustle Elite – Champions
🏆 5th Grade Hustle Select – Champions
Both Elite teams went undefeated on their way to the title. 💪
Also major props to:
🔥 7th Grade Hustle Elite – Deep tournament run (3-1)
🔥 6th Grade Hustle Select (White) – Battled hard and made a strong showing
Our younger squads also had solid performances, wins and close games — the future is bright, and we’re just getting started as we build our teams and chemistry.

Pre-season game schedule 4/12

Hello Spring Hustle families!
Your first pre-season game for 4/12 has officially been added to your Playbook Connect app schedule! Please get comfortable using the new app and get in the habit of using the RSVP tab so that your coaches are aware of who will or will not be attending the practices and games. This is very helpful to the coaches for planning and strategy purposes in order for the team to be successful.
*Pinnies will be provided by us this Saturday since uniforms are still in production. (Pre-season games do not count towards standings)
**Please make sure your athlete is always prepared with a size appropriate basketball as well as a water bottle at each practice and game.
7U: size 5 or 27.5 inch basketball
9U-11U: size 6 or 28.5 inch basketball
13U: size 7 or 29.5 inch basketball
All girls divisions: size 6 or 28.5 inch basketball
***Playbook support is working on the option to have an additional email address connected to each player. Welcome to the Ohio Hustle G-League – Training Starts Today!

Hi G-League Parents!
We’re excited to officially kick off the Ohio Hustle G-League—training starts today!
Team assignments have already been made, and we’re ready to roll with what we believe is a newly constructed program built to provide a smooth, high-energy experience for all players and families this session in Ohio.
We’re also thrilled to introduce our head trainers:
Quentin Gooden – A former Division I standout at Xavier University, Quentin brings elite playing experience, strong leadership, and a passion for helping young athletes grow in skill and confidence.
Ethan Snapp – A former college guard and respected skills trainer, Ethan focuses on fundamentals, basketball IQ, and building confidence. His sessions are fast-paced, high energy, and player-focused.
These guys will be training exclusively in the 7U-13U divisions with volunteer coaches assisting with scrimmages and game days. 15U will be coach led, but our trainers will be there to help and assist those guys as well!
Playbook App Instructions:
We’ll be using the Playbook app to manage team communication, schedules, and important updates.
Here’s how to get started:

Download the 'Playbook Connect' app from the App Store or Google Play.

Log in using the same email address you used to register your player.

Once logged in, your team and schedule will automatically appear.
This will be our main communication platform moving forward.
Quick Parent Meeting:
We’ll hold a brief parent meeting during the first 10 minutes of today’s training sessions to introduce the season format, expectations, and answer any initial questions. We’d love for at least one parent or guardian to attend.
